APP Group, founded in 1972 is one of the worldโ€™s largest pulp and paper companies. APP Group operates a vast network of paper mills in Indonesia and works with multiple local transport vendors to manage a large volume of freight orders each month. APP Group has traditionally managed all transport operations in-house but as business has scaled, managing transportation operations has become increasingly complex, leading to logistical challenges..

APP Group's transportation operations, primarily coordinated through paper-based processes and WhatsApp, lacked efficiency and transparency. Compounding this was the overall challenge of a scattered IT application landscape, as a result of APP Groupโ€™s growth-by-acquisition strategy. With different systems in place, APP Group embarked on an IT consolidation effort to streamline operations and unify processes. Yojee became a critical component of this transformation, playing a pivotal role in achieving an end-to-end digital twin, covering the entire process from freight order to delivery.

  • No Performance or KPI Tracking: The reliance on manual processes provided no visibility into contracted road carrier partners' performance, leading to inefficiencies.

  • Order Assignment Difficulties: The manual confirmation of assigned orders with drivers was time-consuming and prone to errors, with a potential risk of order poaching.

  • Integrated Gate Pass Barcodes: APP Group implemented Yojee's integrated gate pass system, which generated barcodes based on assigned drivers and orders. This innovation, directly accessible through the driver app, enhanced security and streamlined the gate pass process.
  • Full Integration with ERP: Yojee's solutions were fully integrated with APP Group's existing ERP system, automating the entire order management processโ€”from creation to partner identification and transfer. This integration minimised manual intervention, reducing errors and improving overall efficiency.
